Avoiding the Seasonal Pitfalls...

Following on from our previous blog, we asked our team some common pitfalls when it comes to creating a seasonally themed greaseproof paper, and more crucially, how to avoid them! Here's what they had to say. 

Stock levels -Think of how many sales you’re likely to make during this period. There’s nothing worse than offering a seasonal box of goodies to find out you’ve run out of packaging by the 20th December!

Don’t Get Carried Away – With so many options available, it’s easy to get a little too enthusiastic with your seasonal packaging. So, before you order branded boxes, papers, ribbons, and cards, consider the usage you’ll get from each item. Branded greaseproof paper is a cost-effective product which can be used in a variety of ways – from wrapping items and lining unbranded boxes and trays, to creating seasonal table mats and menus.  

Focus on the right holidays – we’ve mostly talked about Christmas because…well it’s the big sales season! However, there are many other holidays such as Halloween, Valentine’s or Mother’s Day which might be more appropriate to your business. Whichever you choose, looking to make the most of these holidays and extending their reach makes good business sense. Branded greaseproof paper designs which prolong sales are a good investment e.g. a spring themed design for use across March and April rather than specifically for Easter.

Keep your brand recognisable.  We can’t emphasise enough that it’s vital to create seasonal packaging that still looks like your brand! Creating packaging which is unrecognisable from your existing branding risks turning off your existing customer base or even worse, it could result in them missing your products entirely.
